About Real Property Management DC Metro

Our mission is to minimize expense and leg work for busy home and property owners. By seeing to the tasks of vacancy filling, tenant screening, rent payment, business licensing, repairs and evictions, we take a large portion of rental property management onto ourselves. This frees up our clients to seek out new properties, operate their business and live their own lives.

Unlike many property management companies, we are more than well acquainted with the neighbourhoods in which we work. Because all of our locations are independently owned and operated, we are able to customize our service to local and regional needs. Our property managers are committed to doing the best job possible for the towns they call home.

We opened our first office over 6 years ago in Howard County Maryland.  We quickly grew the office and expanded to Washington DC.  In the years that followed we shifted our main focus to managing rental in DC.  We have always managed rentals in Maryland, and have watch the Frederick Md market.  We are very excited to be able to offer our services to the great people of Frederick.

In 2014 Real Property Management DC Metro was names a Gold member of RPM’s Presidents Circle. The President’s Circle recognizes the top offices in all of Real Property Management.  We were recognized as 1 of the 12 top offices out of the 250 offices nation wide.  We couldn’t have done this with out our great landlords, tenants and our Team.

Jonathan is an experienced customer service professional with 15 years of experience in various industries. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Jonathan currently serves as the Maintenance Coordinator for Real Property Management. With a passion for customer service and a keen eye for detail, Jonathan ensures that all maintenance requests are handled efficiently and to the satisfaction of clients and tenants. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, indulging his personal interests in fishing and hiking. With a dedication to exceptional service and a commitment to his clients’ needs, Jonathan is an invaluable member of our team.

Carlos Salazar – Assistant Maintenance Coordinator

Carlos is an essential member of our maintenance team, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as a customer service representative. With his warm and friendly demeanor, he is always ready to assist our clients with their maintenance needs and provide exceptional customer service.

One of Carlos’s key strengths is his ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish. This talent has proved invaluable in enabling us to provide excellent service to a diverse range of clients and ensure that everyone feels understood and appreciated.

Becky is a seasoned customer service professional with over 25 years of experience working in various roles. She graduated from Ball State University and has since become a Property Manager at Real Property Management, where she has been providing top-notch customer service for over five years. Becky specializes in managing HOA’s and takes great pride in making sure her clients are satisfied with their properties. Outside of work, Becky enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her two teenage boys and their lovable labradoodle. They frequently visit the beach to relax and catch some rays. Becky is also an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on her favorite teams. With her extensive customer service experience and dedication to her clients, Becky is a valuable member of the Real Property Management team.

Nicole McKellar – Property Manager

Nicole is a skilled and experienced property management professional with over six years of industry experience. Her passion for creating clean and well-maintained homes for her clients is unmatched, and she takes pride in delivering the highest level of service to both property owners and tenants.
As a self-proclaimed frugal person, Nicole understands the importance of maximizing resources and minimizing expenses. BJ McKellar – Business Development Manager

BJ has been passionate about Real Estate since the early 2000s, having invested, sold, and managed properties. He bought his first rental property, a small duplex with long-term tenants, in his early 20s and quickly learned that managing rental properties is hard work, from maintenance to evictions to rent collection. Despite having a full-time job and a young family, BJ managed his rental property himself for about a year before turning it over to a professional so he could focus on his career as a Realtor.

As an agent, BJ helped others invest in real estate and picked up more investments for himself. Now he spends 100% of his time managing other investors’ rentals, with a focus on long-term buy and hold investments, which he considers to be the best retirement plans. With years of rehabbing experience, he can fix just about anything, making him a valuable asset to any property management team.

BJ’s top priority is his clients’ bottom line, and Real Property Management’s goal is to get them as much money as possible every month. To achieve this goal, the company works tirelessly to find the best possible tenants through a rigorous application process and keep them through quarterly evaluations, maintenance, and tenant perks.

The company’s origins can be traced back to 2008/2009 when BJ experienced a significant financial loss on a fix-and-flip deal, leaving him in need of a new way to support his family. A friend introduced him to Real Property Management, which he saw as an opportunity to build a lasting business in real estate while continuing to pursue his passion for investments and working with landlords and investors.

Real Property Management manages over 400 properties in the DC/Maryland area and welcomes any questions about their services.
