BJ McKellar – Business Development Manager
BJ has always loved Real Estate. Since early 2000’s, he has either been investing, selling, or managing real estate. BJ bought his first rental property in my early 20’s. It was a small duplex, with long-term tenants. He quickly learned that it takes a lot of work to manage rental properties. The maintenance, turnover, evictions, rent collections, these all took time and with a full time job, and a young family, BJ had little extra time. After about 1 year of managing the rental himself, BJ turned it over to a professional, so he could focus on his new career as a Realtor. BJ used his time as an agent to help others invest, and also picked up more investments for himself. BJ now focus 100% of his time on managing other investor’s rentals. BJ does not do real estate sale. His favorite investments are the long-term buy and hold. In his opinion these are the best retirement plans. He knows what it takes to manage your rentals, because he own rentals. BJ knows what you want in a Property Manager, because he too has a Property Manager for his out of state rentals. With his years of rehabbing, he can also fix just about anything.
BJ’s number 1 focus is your bottom line. Real Property Managements goal is to get you as much money as possible every month. For us to meet this goal, we have to work at it everyday. We want to get you the best tenant possible, and our application process does that. Once we get you the great tenant, we want to keep that tenant, and our maintenance department, quarterly inspections, and tenant perks help us to meet this goal. I look forward to working with you!
A little bit about the video above.
Here is a video that explains why I started a property management company. It all started back in 2008/2009 when I wasn’t able to make a living doing investments and Real Estate Sales. My last deal back in that time we lost about $60K on a fix and flip.
So after that, I lost most of my investment money.
I needed to find another way to make money and feed my family. A friend of mine introduced me to Real Property Management. I had managed my own 9 rentals to that point and figured it would be great way to stay in Real Estate and actually build a lasting business.
I still love looking at investments and talking to our landlords and investors about their current deals.
Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.
